Basically in the days of old it was the Nehru coats, head bands and skinny jeans that were in fashion while now days its more of the hippie and heavy metal wardrobe that needs to be discussed here.

The world wide popularity of rock and hippie culture created a huge impact on the social front in the world. The general entity of music had the power to stir the foundations of the society, attitudes and daily life of people in the world. Since the advent of rock music and fashion generations and generations of punks have been given birth to and the strains of this type of music have become embedded in the culture and fashion of the ongoing era. Though the rock scene diminished there have been other engineered forms like hip pop, rap, punk rock etc that have come out.
Basically the foundation of rock led to the division of the world when two factions of youngsters in the United Kingdom formed groups named rockers and the Mods which were basically acronyms for their attitude. The rockers were the poor segment of the rock fans while the Mods were the lavish spenders who thought they were the best when it came to rock music fashion. The hippie nature of the rock artists, the glitter that followed them as well as the various different trends that were particular to musicians were followed by these rock fans in an attempt to be as genuine as these on stage rockers and grunge musicians.
